Out of the Blue

Although still a favorite, over the past couple of years Dr Pepper has slipped to third on the list of preferred soft drinks at the Blue Tower, behind perennial contender Mountain Dew and the impressive newcomer, Vanilla Coke (I prefer BAWLS to all of them, but it's easier to pan for gold than actually find this stuff in stores). Being number three on this list generally may as well be #100, since I rarely go down the list past #1 (the Vanilla Coke) in the supermarket. Recently, however, it's been heavy on the DP here, as they are running one of those talking cans promotions offering the chance to win a Dodge Viper... MrsBlue is taking great amusement at this process, as every can I open disappoints me with soda, rather than the announcement of my new sports car.

DP is my number 2, after the Dew. I live in Texas so I am fortunate enough to find DP at most restaurants. Unlike Mountain Dew... DP with a little lime and seasoning makes a good marinade for slow cooked brisket.
