Painkiller Patch

The Painkiller FAQ (thanks Frans) now offers the promised patch to address CD compatibility problems experienced by some users (story), along with this note: "In addition, please ensure that there are no virtual drives mounted/emulated, debuggers and/or auto-update applications running."

xactly you dont have a fucking clue cus you are an idiot jumping to assumptions.

Its a pretty damn easy assumption to jump to, because the CRACK DOES NOT CARE WHAT OTHER PROGRAMS YOU ARE RUNNING.
the game works, and dont have to shut down system tasks.

This brings up the real question, of what the hell these publishers are thinking? The easiest thing you could do is just download it from, you would have the game in less time than it took to go to the store and then you never have to deal with overly restrictive copy protection.

All this is doing is punishing people who paid money.
