Eidos Rumors

In a speculative report punctuated by hedges like "rumour," "speculation," "suggested," "possibly," and "rumoured," Computer And Video Games (thanks Frans) has a story up reportedly based on a corporate slideshow they say "wiggled its way onto the 'Net" before being pulled. According to CVG the slideshow revealed plans for upcoming projects to be published by Eidos Interactive:

Eidos' report has revealed a number of intriguing upcoming games for its fiscal year 2005 (running from July 1 2004 to the end of June 2005). Key products listed include what's described as a Deus Ex "Action" title, a Commandos "Tactical Shooter" (interesting), the seventh Tomb Raider, and a fourth outing for IO Interactive's Hitman series (rumour is suggesting this could be called Hitman: Blood Money).

Also appearing in the fiscal year 2005 line-up are two brand new properties, 25 to Life and Crash 'n' Burn, as well as Backyard Wrestling 2 and Championship Manager 5. Interestingly, mention is made too of a follow-up to IO Interactive's action game Freedom Fighters, although this isn't listed as a fiscal year 2005 release.

The story goes on to speculate about Warren Spector's possible participation in the design of a console multiplayer action game set in the Deus Ex world.

a Deus Ex "Action" title

Isnt a Deus Ex "action" title a mortal sin? I thought Deus Ex was all about freedom of choice.

Commandos "Tactical Shooter<

Guess that cant be too bad if its like Rainbow 6

the seventh Tomb Raider
Eidos, get a clue. Tomb Raider has been sucking for the past 5 games. Gamers expectations have evolved beyond bouncing breasts.

fourth outing for IO Interactive's Hitman series<
Sounds cool just as long as they keep evolving the series.
