Offset from S2 Games

A post to the S2 Forums called Leaving S2 by Sam McGrath has news that the programmer is leaving S2 to form a company called Offset Games "comprised of key members of S2 Games" (thanks Frijoles). His post outlines what support he will be able to provide for Savage after leaving:

As some of you already know, I have chosen to leave S2. This is not a decision I made easily. I will dearly miss working with everyone at S2, and hope that one day we can reconvene for another project (Savage 2, maybe?).

There have been some questions as to how much support there will be for Savage now that I'm leaving. I can't speak for the rest of S2 about this. I can say, at least, that I am still happy to answer any questions anyone has about the SDK (coding questions especially), and will do what I can to support Savage unofficially in my spare time. The Mac port of Savage is something I have not forgotten about. If I can work out some kind of distribution method with S2, hopefully it will still be possible to get this out there.

I will be getting the official Savage SDK together before I leave, and there will be at least one more patch (fixing a few bugs, and adding localization support).

Savage is a cool game. I have played it quite a bit. Too bad not more people playing it.
