Gangland Demo

A single-player demo for Gangland is now available, offering the chance to check out Whiptail Interactive's "arcade style action game that combines the RTT, RPG & SIM genres into a whole new breed." The demo is a 125 MB download, available from 3D Gamers, ActionTrip, Adrenaline Vault, Boomtown, FileFront, FilePlanet (registration required), GameCenter.cz, GameSpot DLX (registration required), Gamer's Hell, GameTab, and Worthplaying.

The RTS =you're= talking about is mostly micromanaging. Turned based takes the time crunch out so you can actually plan. Otherwise, the only real strategy games would be the Combat Mission games - give orders and strategy, then it plays out, then you can give orders again, not 20 orders every minutes as you watch things play out.
