Right, so you want all new games NOT to use DX9 features, just so most people can run it in full detail? Is everyone that defends UT2003/4 a moron? First of all, try and stay away from the usual "Idiot" and "Moron" name calling with anyone that disagree with you, it just makes you look like an ass.
Secondly, no, thats not what I wsa trying to say. The FACT is that MOST people I know that has a computer, can barely run UT2003/4.
I've got a fancy 9800pro myself so I have no problem running new DX9 games, and I'd love to see some of them. But I also like playing MP games, and if I want my friends to come along, the game needs to be playable for those who doesnt have the same card I've got. So the question is.. Sure epic could put all those DOOM3 shadows and stuff and the people with the 50 best computers in the world could drool over its smoothness
This is a game designed for most people, and since only a small percentage of gamers can enjoy DX9 right now, its not top priority. One year from now, all those fancy DX9 games will be out, we can all enjoy them.
Games have made the "lets make teh leet supagraphics game!!"-mistake before, its called "Trespasser" and nobody could run it above 2fps at the time.
There is only ONE real WW2 game. http://www.unrealwarfarex.com/redorchestra/ |
