A demo version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is now available, offering the chance to try out the new fully 3D follow-up to the classic slide show Myst games. No details are available about the content of the 109 MB demo, which is available via the streaming services of Gigex, mirrored on 3D Gamers, Boomtown (registration required), FileFront, Gamer's Hell, IGN, and Loadedinc (registration required).

i've been playing the beta for a few months, and here are my pointers: -use the mouse for everything. the entirety of my gametime, i only used the keyboard to jump, change views, or use some stuff that you haven't seen in the demo. -one button walks, the other lets you freelook, and the two together make you run. -the faster you turn your mouse, the faster your character will turn. I actually found this to be a very precise control scheme. -in first person view, if you hold down the RMB, it functions very much like an FPS. enjoy. Admin/Editor - http://www.beyondhalflife.com
