E3 Critics Awards

E3awards.com now offers the results of the Game Critics Best of E3 2003 Awards (thanks Frans). Their best in show winner is Half-Life 2, with Valve's shooter sequel also nabbing best PC game and best action game honors, as well as "Special Commendation for Graphics" (to differentiate it from all the text games on tap). Other winners include Halo 2 taking best console game honors, City of Heroes winning for Best Online Multiplayer, Rome: Total War wining for best strategy game, and Full Spectrum Warrior taking the award for best original game (of the three or so non-sequels on display) as well as a best simulation honors, an unusual feat for a third-person shooter.
