Enter the Matrix Patch, Matrix Online Q&A

Though it's not up on The Enter the Matrix Website, a new patch for Enter the Matrix is now available, updating Shiny's spoon-free action game to version 1.51. The 4.2 MB patch can be found on Gamer's Hell and Gameplex. In other Matrix game-related news, there's a Matrix Online Q&A on Fragland.net talking with Monolith about the just-announced MMO game based on the movie trilogy. Coincidentally, one of the answers addresses the lack of connection between the two games: "No, they are both separate games, developed and published by different companies. Furthermore both games are taking place in a different time frame."

11. Bad controls but not slow at all... May 16, 2003, 10:09 Allegra Geller

The worst thing I've encountered is sound. There's some missions where all the sounds are echoed and sounds like they're being looped. It's very annoying and loud.

The second worst thing is the first person view. It's poorly done, even if it was a console game. I still think it's a poorly done first person view. No matter what version you play.

The controls aren't that bad, although it's probably because I'm left handed. I use the mouse with my left hand and my right hand to control the character's movements.
Delete = Use key
End = Toogle Secondary Weapon(Grenades)
Pg up = Draw Weapons
Pg Dw = Kick
Right-Shift = Focus
Arrow keys = Movement
Change Views(vehicle and flight modes) = Right-Ctrl
Zoom In/Out = Kp_End/Kp_dnarrow

While my mouse is only used for switching weapons, shooting/punching and jumping.

Oh and yes, you can view the movie clips without playing the game.

1) Download & Install DivX Player at http://www.divx.com
2) Go to your Enter the Matrix folder (Default: 'C:/Program Files/Infogames/EnterTheMatrix/'...I think)
3) Look for the folder "Movies" or "Videos"
4) In that folder, there should be another folder. Open it.
5) You should see all the movie files in .avi format. They're named something like "gl_xx.avi", where "xx" is a two-digit number.

Open these avi files with your DivX Player and enjoy!
