Out of the Blue

I've been watching the woman from the phone company through the window for the last hour... since she knocked my DSL out in investigating phone difficulties. I'd have complained, except she looks like she could break me in two over her knee. Could be worse though... as she drove off, my connection hadn't yet returned, and for a moment there I thought she had busted something.

I can't stop scratching my head over the sight of the president of the United States arriving at his destination of an aircraft carrier via a tail hook landing in a Navy jet. I realize it was favorable weather and I'm sure it was an extremely qualified pilot at the controls during this maneuver, which is conducted hundreds of times each day. It is, however, still the most dangerous landing an aviator can make, and I just can't get over the idea that they were willing to risk a crash landing for the increased impact of making his speech from a carrier...

You do realize however that we are putting all of Iraq's oil in U.S. trusts to pay for the war. We are totally negating everything that we said stand by... "The oil belongs to the Iraqi people..." well there goes that statement.... Something to think about ~Torlock
