Out of the Blue

Call me Nurse Blue (no, on the other hand, please don't) as Hudson the wonder dog is playing wonder patient today. She had a trip to the vet last week for a lump on her side, which seemed quite serious, but turned out to be a cyst. Then over the weekend, she developed a sore on her face and a runny eye, which seemed fairly trivial, but turned out to be a "hot-spot" and conjunctivitis, resulting in an injection, some ointment for the hot-spot, pills for the underlying infection causing the hot-spot, and eye drops. The vet bill for the runny eye and sore? Almost exactly double the tab for aspirating the cyst.
