Making sense is so wrong, I too get violent when people do that.
While that's the evidence-based conclusion (that video games don't cause violence), and while I prefer Dems to the alternative, it's important to note that Nancy represents CA's 12th district which contains no shortage of software developers. So there is certainly a bit of political self-interest in her statements. Still, this is a cold, hard fact:
"but the evidence -- says that, in Japan, for example, they have the most violent games and the lowest death -- mortality -- from guns."
And Thundr makes a great point: they need to keep eyes on the prize and focus on what's going to have the biggest impact. Spending capital on video game laws will have no effect.
