Always on internet connection on my console means I'll skip this console generation.
I buy most games new, but do buy games I don't care about as much used. So the impact of no used games will be just like it was on PC for me. I buy fewer AAA titles and spend less. Since consoles won't have an good indie type gaming option like the PC does, my overall spend will be down. Used game buyers aren't switching to new for every purchase.
Locking games to a specific console would also be bad, a lot of people own multiple consoles of the same type. I'm at 2 PS3s and may even add a 3rd.
Hopefully Microsoft does something stupid like this, I hope Sony doesn't. |
