Finding the money to fund a new console this year is going to be a real task. Especially if they have to subsidize it. They just cannot afford that at all.

Beat out how, release date? The Playstation division (less Sony Ericsson cruft) is actually one of their few successes outside of parts manufacturing and was basically what sold Bluray to consumers, they will do everything they can to keep it competitive.
