I'm pro-gun but you're making gun owners look bad with this kind of stupidity. Seriously don't do us any favors, just be quiet, we can take care of ourselves. Here is what anyone with a brain will rebutt that sound bite with: cars aren't designed to kill people, guns are. Most car deaths are accidents. You can't compare unlike statistics anyways, that's not how it works.
As a responsible gun owner I don't have any problem with gun control laws, I'd just point out that we already have many on the books and gun control isn't where the problem lies. Enforcement, guns in popular media and availability is the problem. There is no need to punish responsible gun owners and vendors for a minority problem that needs to be dealt with in other ways.

Oh good Lord. Gun owners like you are the problem, not RollinThunder's well made point. Chicago has banned all guns for years and yet, homicide capital of the country. 532 last year. Gang bangers and criminals in general dont follow the law. Cutting off certain types of guns just guarantees outlaws/criminals will have them (and the government, who will no longer have the increased threat of armed resistance from responsible gun owners with effective so called "weapons of war").
First they came for the "assault weapons" and I said, hey I don't need that high powered junk! Then they came for the hunting rif.. er I mean evil sniper rifles! Well I don't hunt or a true hunter would use a bow up close, like the noble savages did in the yesteryears!
Then they came for the pistols (the gun type that kills the most). Hey, I don't need a portable, concealable weapon to defend myself from criminals. I live in a safe neighborhood anyway and I have a cell phone to call 911 and a pocket knife. I know KungFu, I downloaded it from the steam matrix cloud for 4.95.
Then they came for the knives, the bows, crossbows, swords and rocks. But I didn't need those for self defense, I had a cop on call. They tell me when I can get up, eat, go to work. The work camps here in Siberia are really great.
