Runic Games tweets a New Year's wish that reveals the company sold over a million copies of Torchlight 2, the action/RPG sequel (thanks Joao). Here's word: We had an amazing 2012, and proud to say that #Torchlight2 has sold over 1 million units! Thank you! Happy New Year's Eve everyone :)

Horrible longevity, don't even try. Sounds like a description of D3 to me. Except D3 was expensive and not fun It was quite expensive. But it was actually fun... for like the first playthrough on normal, and when decent gear for low levels was cheap in the auction house. And when they try to suck you in with that explosion of yellow drops from bosses on the first time you kill them with the forced boosted drop rates for first time kills. After that, ugh it got boring fast, and the crappy drop rates started to sink in, and the auction house got to be boring fast (unless you wanted to waste real money on it), and then blizzard went and raised repair costs by 6 times forcing one to farm for gold as well as farming for items. |
