SlashGear - Sales Mean Nothing: Call of Duty Has Gone Stale. Thanks HARDOCP.
But I’ve had enough. The Call of Duty franchise has become one big, repurposed offering that gets customers to pay too much for what is essentially a bunch of new maps launched annually in November. Sure, there’s a bit of a storyline and the updates to online gaming are nice enough, but are they enough to justify calling the game an entirely new entry into the franchise? As far as I’m concerned, it’s just more of the same.

Sorry). I have heard this age-old baseless haughtiness for years of being a musician because if you like music genre 'X' then you are an idiot or if you don't think genre 'Y' is crap then clearly you don't know good music and yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah. Arrogance through self-attributed superiority isn't anything new; it's as old as the hills. I bet cavemen probably belittled the other cavemen who liked the simple, colorful cave paintings. Was that directed at me, or someone else? I'm asking since it was in direct reply to my post, but I'm not sure if you meant to direct it at me, or if you just hit reply on the newest post and meant it towards someone else.
Creston No it sure wasn't directed towards you. I realize now that you mention it that it sure looks like I was answering you, but trust me I wasn't. Sorry about that friend.
Really, I ought to know that this is the internet and people will say things like "everyone who buys Game 'X' is a slack-jawed, mouth-breathing, pants-on-head retard!!!" and not really mean it. They are frustrated that great games with miles of depth, interactivity, choice, consequence, and challenge struggle to sell a million copies in their lifetime while soulless games like codblops sells that many in a day (hyperbole detector). Hell who wouldn't be? I am just a crabby asshole - I have been working for 3 straight weeks now without a day off and come home so tired that I can barely eat supper, much less play a game. I have 3 brand new games that I bought that I haven't been able to try AND a beta key for Path of Exile (courtesy of Wowbagger's generosity) that I've yet to use. Just ignore the slack-jawed, mouth-breathing, pants-on-head retard that I'm being until I get some rest and game time!
