Why is that scary? How is that anymore scary than people paying a million bucks for a baseball? Or a hundred million for a painting? It's just some coloured oil on cloth at the end of the day. Value is relative and if someone gets their yayas from dropping 50k on a virtual item, bully for them. Just because it's not how you or I would spend it doesn't make it wrong. And besides if you have the kind of coin you can do something like that for a lark 50k is peanuts in that case.
