"It's scary to know that something like this can happen in a free country. You're not accused of any crime. You haven't been contacted by anyone. No investigation has been done. No due process has taken place," he said. Well, in that case it's not really a free country is it? And you weren't detained. You just weren't allowed to fly. And the government has always had the right to detain you without due process. They can throw you in jail for up to 72 hours without any reason given whatsoever. And it's not like it was hard for them to ever extend that if they liked. Free country? The naivete of so many Yanks gives the rest of us a good laugh. Lol.
