You are never 100% secure or 100% anonymous on the internet.
Now, I doubt ISPs are going to go through that much effort to find some pirates, but on the flipside, they only have to monitor their own traffic, which substantially cuts down on the amount of investigation involved. But I don't think ISPs are going to do anything beyond the most cursory glance at their traffic. Why would they have to bear the financial burden so some cocksucker in LA can stay rich off his busted-ass business model?
