Sam Waterston as a mostly happy drunk was fantastic. I was worried his character was gonna be too much like Jack McCoy.

I laughed SO out loud when Sam Waterston lost his sh*t and threatened the guy towards the beginning of the episode. Something like "I'm a Marine and I will beat you to death" or something.

Seriously, I cracked up. And then I began to wonder how much more interesting Law & Order would've been if he'd lost his sh*t like that there too.
