WoW does also have some interesting twists on the norm. There are many, but two that always comes to mind are both in Storm Peaks, The Drakkensryd and Thrusting Hodir's Spear.
The introduction of the Phasing system, Temporary spells, vehicles, taking control on monsters, etc. has given Blizz/WoW a huge advantage over most other MMO's when it comes to quest design.
