Max Payne 3 Specs

Rockstar Games now offers digital preorder details for Max Payne 3, along with some new screenshots as well as PC system requirements for the upcoming third-person shooter sequel. Here are the specs, which are not specifically minimum or recommended:

Developed in parallel with the game's console versions, Max Payne 3 for PC supports DirectX11 including tessellation, as well as a number of additional advanced graphics options and is optimized to run across a wide range of PC setups.

GTX 680 is not the recommended video card, just as 16GB could not be the recommended RAM requirement. They just made the dubious decision to write in a range that goes from the minimum to the current maximum specs you could throw at it, in order to say that everything in between will technically work. Silly, sure, but let's not get mad over something that isn't there.
Yeah, that's the way I read it too. There's no way that it's going to be able to take advantage of 16GB of RAM - I'd be surprised if it wasn't a 32bit executable, which would limit it to 4GB. Same goes for processors - it's a multi-platform title, so it's unlikely to be well optimised for 6-core. Though graphically it wouldn't surprise me if it required a 680 or 7970 to run well.
