Facebook, which has 845 million monthly active users by its own calculations, also disclosed that fake or duplicate accounts may represent about 5 percent to 6 percent of that figure. they would be lucky if that 845 million actually visits facebook. they already admitted that people who log onto other web service using a facebook account are counted as active users. if they dont visit facebook.com they should not be considered active users since they wont generate advertising revenue.
fake or duplicate accounts is also not 5-6 percent. thats way too optimistic. its probably more than 30 percent once they start auditing the data people use to create facebook accounts. |
