The Old Republic Code Issues

This thread and this one on the Star Wars: The Old Republic carry complaints from users who have received preorder copies of BioWare's MMORPG where the game activation code is unreadable in some cases (perhaps due to a garbled subspace transmission) and completely missing in others. Without codes, players will be unable to access the game after December 22nd, when the two day early access grace period concludes. There are various reports of forum and email replies from support on this topic that indicate this is being addressed to some degree or another, but there are also posts expressing concern that the two different issues (missing versus unreadable codes) are being confused with each other and the possibility that some support responses are dealing with this as if it concerned Origin preorders, which is does not.
