Are you playing on the highest difficulty? Because anything lower is a complete joke.

On master you will routinely run into dungeon bosses and such that can kill you in one hit, without you even having a moment to do anything. That got realllllly frustrating reallllllly quickly. All it did was force me to use lame kiting tactics and trick the AI, which isn't fun to me, just immersion-breaking and time consuming.

On the lower setting a lot of enemies are easy and a lot of enemies still represent a challenge. Some dungeon bosses are still really hard and take a reload or two unless you constantly spam potions. That's about right, in my opinion.

If you push smithing at all, Master doesn't seem that hard that hard. It feels like there could be a step or two above it. At the moment, the only things that give me a lot of trouble are vampires because their life drain cuts through my armor and I don't have any general "magic resistance". Dragon priests are a bit of a pain too, but fun.

Some bosses were 1-hitting me before when I had no elemental resistance whatsoever, but if I turned the difficulty down then everyone else was too easy. That was before I really pushed smithing, and before I found Spellbreaker (which is nearly a gamebreaker)...
