There are quotes on Gamasutra from Electronic Arts CFO Eric Brown, after he spoke today at a UBS conference in London. Speaking about their Origin service, he says to expect games from other publishers in the near future: "Initially, Origin is set up to deliver EA games, but very soon, we'll be delivering third-party content to Origin." He also spoke of how Origin is doing. "We're fairly excited about Origin," he said. "We have about 4 million installs of the client, we expect that number to climb substantially as we enter this ... holiday season." The article also notes that EA's PC games now install Origin by default, even if the game is purchased at retail.
