The Witcher 2 Patch Nears, DLC Workaround

The Witcher website offers a workaround for users who "have not been able to successfully download DLC from The Witcher 2 launcher application after registering the game." They offer a series of email addresses, saying that contacting the address appropriate to the DLC you are installing will provide an immediate solution to the problem. In a separate update they announce that the problems with the version 1.1 patch are cleared up, and the new version is on its way: "Currently the patch servers are being updated with the new patch version 1.1. As soon as the servers are back online you will be able to download the latest patch. Your patience is appreciated and we will inform you as soon as the patch servers are back online."

Bioware could learn a thing or 10 from these guys. Free DLC, timely patching, a non condescending attitude towards the fanbase, and communication on the update/patch process.

By free DLC, you mean something that was complete for the release of the game but was witheld from users with the intent of forcing them to register on their website?
