No Dynamic Difficulty in Deus Ex: Human Revolution

PC Gamer has a clarification on how difficulty levels will work in Deus Ex: Human Revolution based on interviewing David Anfossi, producer on the upcoming action/RPG prequel. Contrary to reports, David tells them the game will use standard difficulty levels, and will not scale according to the player's experience. "I donít know who said that, but that person was either drunk or doesnít work here," he tells them. "No. We have three difficulty settings: Easy, Normal and Hard. Thereís no adaptation of the difficulty at all, we donít have anything like that."

Good. Now if the difficulty also meant that you'd get more opponents, rather than it just being

if Diff = hard
{set NPC HP to 200%}
{set NPC damage to 200%}

then it'd be awesome.

Still very excited about this one. I agree with the comment below that the art direction is too different from the previous two (and again, why would anyone go to nanite augmentation when this mechanically augmented Denton is FAR more powerful than either JC or Paul), but other than that I hope this will be a good approximation of what made Deus Ex the greatest game of all time. (my opinion, Valve fanboys. Don't get your panties in a twist.)
