Atari announces Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale, a Forgotten Realms RPG to be digitally distributed for Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2011. Here's word: "Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale centers on the desperate struggle to defeat the evil Rezlus and his Zhentarim in their attempt to invade and conquer the Dalelands. Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale is an engaging multi-player experience that introduces a riveting narrative and treacherous new characters. Players are charged with the task of restoring order to Nentir Vale by unlocking the secrets of the Mines of Tethyamar, defeating the evil within the treacherous Tower of the Void, leading to the final confrontation with Rezlus himself." An official product section for the game is already online, offering a launch trailer and more information.

Forgotten Realms is the best campaign setting for D&D. Forgotten Realms WAS the best campaign setting for D&D...until they took a giant diarrhea shit all over it and fast forwarded everything 100 years. I can't even stand reading the books anymore, and up to that date I had religiously read every single one of them. Zhentarim, raiding the Dalelands. Sounds like it might be set in the prior time periods.
