The Battlefield Blog has word on a gimmick EA is planning to eventually unlock a new map in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam, which will bring the number of maps in the upcoming military shooter expansion to a staggering five. The extra map is a reworked version of the Operation Hastings map from 2004's Battlefield: Vietnam. They say that beginning when the expansion is released on December 21 they will begin tallying player actions, and when these reach the nice round figure of 69 million, the fifth map will be unlocked: "You and all your friends playing on PS3, PC, or Xbox 360 need to perform 69 million team actions across Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. So whatís a team action? Well, itís any and all of these: resupply, revive, heal, spot, and repair. We start counting on December 21st, so make sure you contribute from the start!" They have also released a Battle for Hastings trailer to promote the deal.
