Yes but your notebook can easily be stolen (or lost), and unless you're writing in some code only you know, you're screwed. Password Safe has a customizable password generator, can sort by groups, search and the double click to copy then paste makes it much more convenient than typing it in.
I have 392 passwords stored in my safe, I can't possibly imagine writing all of that down on paper, much less searching through it to find the one I need. Before I discovered Password Safe, I used a text file and stored it in a password protected Zip file. Once I got to around 100 or so passwords it became a little hard to manage. |
