After commenting on last night's cable show premieres (and pooh-poohing the NFL preseason in the forums), I ended up getting caught up in the Giants game, so thank goodness for the DVR. Traditionally, the Giants play the Jets in the third game of the preseason, but since their new shared stadium was making its NFL debut, they moved it to the first game. Preseason games are usually snoozes, but with a lot of smack talk leading up to the game, things got pretty intense. And with the Mets making their now-annual swoon earlier than usual, I am not unhappy at all that the tackle football season is getting underway.
