On Elemental's DRM

PC Gamer discusses DRM with Stardock CEO Brad Wardell, who describes the plan to combat piracy in Elemental: War of Magic, their upcoming 4X turn-based strategy game. Wardell explains: "What I think would be helpful against piracy is if you actually gave users stuff," explaining the contents of a limited edition version of the game, including a map, a pewter dragon, a poster, and a print version of the game's encyclopedia, the Hiergemenon, which Brad calls "Half D&D monster manual and half lore book." Thanks joao. On a related note, here are a few new Elemental: War of Magic screenshots.

This is why I love Stardock and have invested so much money into their games and applications. Thank you Mr. Wardell and Stardock. You have a customer for life!
