Darksiders PC Plans

The Darksiders Website has word to expect a PC edition of this console action/adventure game from Vigil Games to be released in June (thanks Verno). Word is:

There are some of you who have been holding out on Darksiders because you want it on PC. Well, it's official. Darksiders is coming to PC in June, and it'll be just as awesome as it is on consoles. Take it from General Manager of Vigil, David Adams, "We are really excited to have the opportunity to bring Darksiders to the global PC audience. We feel that the growth of digital distribution and PC online communities creates a great environment for our game. We are working really hard to make sure that key features such as user-defined resolutions, interface and both keyboard and game pad control sets are all up to the standards for today’s discerning PC consumer."

I can't see how someone can knock it while simultaneously praising God of War when they're so similar.

God of War has a silky smooth, high energy, moderate-to-deep combat engine. Darksiders was "pound attack multiple times until enemy is dead or the enemy starts to juggle you".

God of War had a highly-paced, fast action feel to it, larger than life and filled with "NO WAY" moments. Remember busting ass through baddies trying to get to Ares in the background, while thousands of troops shot arrows up at him? Remember the first level of God of War 2, fighting the Colossus? (I haven't played GOW3 yet so I can't point to any moments in GOW3)

Darksiders has a fantastic opening level, and then the game slows down to a sedate pace. You never feel empowered. You're a goddamn manifestation of War itself, and yet you need a boomerang to hit switches to open doors to move through vaguely human ruins hall #47.

DS borrows a few elements from God of War, but it's hardly similar in gameplay, pacing, or art design.
