Electronic Arts announces Need for Speed SHIFT is today racing into North American stores for multiple platforms, with the European release of the high-octane motorsports sequel planned for this Thursday. Here's the full announcement:

Uhh didnt they say a year ago that the Burnout team was taking over the Need For Speed games? Maybe they added some SimBin people, but I doubt there are that many or that they had much in the say in the design.
