This is EA. Wait until you find out about potential DRM. If the game is free of DRM then ask yourself if you still want to support a company with a long history of using DRM...
Okay, you people need to actually click links once in a while.
EA has nothing to do with this game... blue meant to say "EU". Paradox publishes their own games. Just great, smaller developer makes a decent game and a bunch of people who cant read more than Blue's blurb boycott it thinking its EA.
Wonder how many sales you cost them Blue

Maybe I'll give this one a look. Wait...EA...nevermind. Fuck EA and their games, from this point on they don't get ONE RED CENT from me. I think it was supposed to be EU not EA. Looking at the games website it does not appear EA has anything to do with this game.

Well, for one, this is a space combat game, not space trading. So it's gameplay focus is quite a bit different. It's got good graphics and the combat (basically just about all of its gameplay aside from some ships designing/configuring/resource options) is pretty basic. If you remember the prequel, it's almost identical (feels much like an arcade shooter style to me). So from a combat standpoint, it's similar to the simplicity of X3, just basic point and shoot, not too many tactical, maneuvering, or physics elements to deal with. But that's about where the similarities stop as X3 branches off into trading, fleet, and business management. So if you're looking for a mission based quick combat shooter, probably a good choice to add to a space-sim collection. If you expect deeper gameplay, either with combat options or with things like trading, it might not hold your interest for very long.

How does this stack up to the Elite-like-genre? Anyone know how it compares to X?
