I'm sorry Prez, but I couldnt disagree more.
I think we are singing from different pages of music here. You are talking about the government passing laws to protect consumers and employees from corporate abuses (Enron and Worldcom.)
I am referring to things like government oversight and enforcement of things like the Games rating system, penalties for publisher violations (as in the Take2/Hot Coffee debacle), and content restriction. |

I don't necessarily have a problem with legislation pertaining to videogames in principle. What I have a huge problem with is government regulation of private industry (with a couple of notable exceptions). Government exists to serve people, not superimpose itself into every facet of peoples' lives.
