Alone in the Dark PC has quite possibly the worst controls and camera I've ever seen. There's no freelook in third-person and when you try to use first-person, you're constantly kicked back to third-person whenever you do anything. In addition, the game has a bunch of random fixed camera angles in many areas which can completely reverse the movement controls. There also appears to be a different button assigned to every action, no matter how trivial. It's like they don't understand the concept of context-sensitive controls. Combat is horribly clunky too.
I've read that the 360 version will be getting a patch to address the camera and control issues. Haven't heard anything about a PC patch.
Oh, the game only supports the 360 gamepad as well. Doesn't even recognize my Logitech controller.
At this point, the game isn't even worth $15. It's the first time in a long, long time where I've actually been frustrated by a game's controls and camera. If they release a patch that fixes the stuff, I might reconsider.

The Out of Eight link is actually to Art of Murder: FBI Confidential. The Code of Honor 2 review was 10 days ago. Stop living in the past!

Still playing through it, still loving it. If you thought the puzzels in portal were good then this is even better, add atmosphere a solid story mix together with a fantastic score and bake.
