Out of the Blue

Analyst, MS Advocate Christina Wise-Mohr on Washingtonpost.com is the obituary for my aunt who died a few weeks ago. She was an inspiring person, and the article offers insights into some of the obstacles she overcame in living with MS, and some of the things she was able to accomplish in spite of her affliction.

15. Once again... Aug 27, 2008, 20:44 Cutter

Star Trek says it best....

Lt. Cmdr. Data: I have a question, Sir.
Capt. Picard: Yes Data, what is it?
Lt. Cmdr. Data: What... is death?
Capt. Picard: Now, is that all? Oh, Data, you're asking probably the most difficult of all questions. Some see it as a changing into an indestructible form, forever unchanging; they believe that the purpose of the entire universe is to then maintain that form in an earth-like garden, which will give delight and pleasure through all eternity. On the other hand, there are those who hold to the idea of our blinking into nothingness. That all of our experiences and hopes and dreams, merely a delusion.
Lt. Cmdr. Data: Which do you believe, Sir?
Capt. Picard: Considering the marvelous complexity of the universe, it's clockwork perfection, it's balances of this against that, matter, energy, gravitation, time, dimension - I believe that our existence must be more than either of these philosophies. That what we are goes beyond Euclidean or other practical measuring systems, and that our existence is part of a reality beyond what we understand now as reality.

12. BlackSIte: Area 51 Aug 27, 2008, 19:54 Enahs

I opened up my drawer where my games are last weekend and realized I had BlackSite: Area 51 that I bought and never played!

I played it over the weekend.
It was short. But fun enough. Nothing special, nothing great. Just straight forward basic FPS with a silly plot.

It is more then worth the price of $9.90 for the PC edition at GoGamer.com. If you are looking for a simple basic FPS that looks decent (Unreal 3 engine) and lets you shoot a bunch of things, give it a shot.

If you have pw problems - blame nin.

The cause of all these evils was the lust for power arising from greed and ambition; and from these passions proceeded the violence of parties once engaged in contention.
In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.

Even though it has no problem recognizing my Email/Password when I make a regular post? It won't even email me the password if I do 'click here'.
A couple of scripting issues won't be cleared up until our server is re-migrated, which I believe will happen this week.

My apologies.

Just so no one gets fired, when I sent that "Most Sung-About Body Part? The Eyes Have It." link to Blue, I noticed the only offending image (on Wired's site) was a picture of an ass. I just followed the link to the original site (from Wired) and if you look at the full sized image, there's a few other images that are very NSFW.

Had I known this, I would have worded my email a bit stronger, or not have sent it at all.

Be careful!

edit: And since I've already been bad, here's the NSFW link for your pervs.

While with the USAID from 1994 to 1995, she helped design a strategy to promote Internet access in Africa. She also visited South Africa and Zimbabwe to document the use of the Internet, then an early version called FidoNet, for tracking food shipments by the World Food Program.
I see the internet runs in your family.

I'm sorry for your loss. 2008 has been a bit of a down year, it seems like.
