Gas Powered Games
announces that Space Siege is now available in stores worldwide, offering
action/RPG gameplay in a science-fiction environment (thanks Gamer's Hell). A playable
demo for the game was released a couple of weeks ago ( story).
Here's word, including a miniaturized e-tailer link: The final defense of
humanity begins today! In Space Siege, a thrilling action-RPG adventure, you
assume the role of Sgt. Seth Walker and wage war against humanity's would-be
executioners, the alien race known as the Kerak. Wield high-powered weapons,
unleash your robot companion and make the ultimate moral decision -- how much of
your humanity will you sacrifice in order to save the human race?
Published by Sega, Space Siege is now available at finer retailers everywhere,
including
Amazon.com, in case you prefer to purchase a copy online.

I too am interested in the game; the demo was merely okay but gave me the impression the end result would come together fairly well. Just not sure I want to pay MSRP. I hate to say "Bargain Bin",; I'll just wait for a good gogamer.com sale. |

I thought the demo was fun, but hampered by some pretty questionable control decisions. Hopefully they're more customizable in the final game.
I also question the amount of character customization and replayability there will be. Though PC Gamer gave it a very average review - in the 50%-range - I hope that's an exception and not the norm.

Are you on drugs? This game is nothing like Hellgate London.
Have you even played the demo? Seriously. Get a grip.

the theme, the graphics, the...ughh.. "space" reminds me too much of Hellgate London, and that is enough to deter me FAR away from this game. I mean further, to the point where it's farther away, than I was able to toss away my HGL CD.

Kinda felt like they rushed it out to beat Too Human. Different platform I know, but very similar looking style of play. I liked DS, so I was interested in this. May give it a shot.

The demo made the game appear like a budget title. It's an average game that appears to be me to be one of those cash generating games to fund better and more serious projects.

I liked the demo, so I think I'll take a gamble on this one and pick it up before the reviews start appearing.
