Out of the Blue

Here's a non-progress report on remaining issues after the recent sever migration. Things continue to not progress at a very steady pace, a situation which will hopefully change soon. In the meantime, most noticeably, user registration mails are still not being sent out.

I know I am going to jinx it - but the best part of the day - No mention of Madden on opening day! BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The cause of all these evils was the lust for power arising from greed and ambition; and from these passions proceeded the violence of parties once engaged in contention.

Would you expect anything but lies, deception, and corruption from China? No surprise here.

Opening ceremony on a time delay? For what purpose? OH YEAH! TO FAKE EVERYTHING!

9. NASA abandons plan to fly new spaceship Aug 12, 2008, 10:46 Dan =0)

That's just sad.

Granted, NASA seems recently (in the last decade?) to have been fraught with problems, managerially and technically, but I'd like to see space exploration continue, especially with respect to developing technology to allow us to get off this rock and travel through the solar system (at least), while simultaneously trying to find another rock suitable for human and other life.

I mean, we put men on the moon nearly a decade before I was born; I loved hearing and reading about the stuff that went on "up there". (Star Trek: TNG helped further interest me indirectly, of course.)

We could develop and test improvements to the spacesuit, space shuttle and other devices and (manned) vehicles that mainly rely on those original designs - okay, we're probably already doing that and I'm just being impatient for the results, and very naive...

And this is the most disturbing bit in the article for me:

"The reason why little Yang was not chosen to appear was because we wanted to project the right image, we were thinking about what was best for the nation," Chen said in an interview that appeared briefly on the news website Sina.com before it was apparently wiped from the Internet in China.
Actually, more like:

"...we were thinking about what was best for the nation,"
Well, at least they're being honest with their reasoning, I guess.... hell, we have singers miming themselves over here (some times)!

EDIT: Fixed quotation(s).

I'm in Australia, it's Tuesday night, over to you.
Ok, let me try to explain by quoting George.

"Tonight's forecast... dark. Continued mostly dark tonight turning to widely scattered light in the morning."

Just be careful not to reveal too much about the future: we might act on that knowledge and accidentally change things!

I just hope we're getting flying cars...

For observers at most locations, the peak will arrive in the early morning hours on Tuesday, local time, before dawn breaks.
Is that not clear enough? Early morning hours, before dawn?
Like when the sun isn't up and its all like dark outside and stuff?

Should I go on?

You'd think the scientist types could manage GMT time instead of referring to 'Local time' throughout.

1. Alone in the dark Aug 12, 2008, 02:25 Hoop

Playing the pc version slowly chipping away at it and still really enjoying this game, its winter here and a nice winter pursuit. I want to tell you all this cause its been panned by the "critics", a sign Im finding as I get older that indicates a game may be worth looking into. I raced out and bought crysis with "critics" creaming themselves over it, only to find the game was generic pubesent broken ass.
