Sales show Doom 3 was not bad: Willits
They really need to stop beating that rotting dead horse. Beating it at every interview saying how much THEY liked it is not going to magically turn a jump out of a dark corner predictable crapfest with the worst multiplayer ever into something decent.
People thought it was crap.Get over it.Make a good game.

At least now people won't get confused over "Rage" and "Fury"! At least until someone releases Anger.

After that, they've just rehashed shit. Q3 had some of the nice stuff from the Q1 mods, but otherwise they've been a real snoozer since 1996 Since about the time Romero left, interestingly enough.
The problem with today's ID software is that they have no vision. Great programmers means nothing without having someone to shape in the gameplay.
Doom 3 may have sold well, but it only sold well because of Doom 1 and 2. That doesn't mean it's a good game, just a cash in on the original classics.

Seems like they are getting momentum with the new Rage IP. Congrats. I hope it's a great game to play. I still don't have the enthusiasm I had for them when I heard about them talking about Doom I, after Wolf3D. Then their momentum was unstoppable for Quake1. They changed everything.
