My sleep last night was disturbed by a foot cramp. This is no big deal and easy
enough to deal with on one occasion, but it is certainly more than enough to
repeatedly wake one up. I don't know what the deal is with that
Restless Legs Syndrome, and I know people love making fun of the ads for drugs
for that one, but I can see how an ongoing issue of this sort could be a big
problem for folks.

Not sure that foot cramps are related to Restless Legs Syndrome... I was born with flat feet and had to break in my arch with special shoes so I have suffered foot cramps, two things I find help, one, bare feet on a carpet and scrunch your toes, two, calf lifts.
Want to talk about not sleeping, I had a bout of Acute bronchitis, I didnt sleep more the 2 hours a night, if that, for 2 weeks. After being up for 72 hours I kind of got into a zombie state where I almost didnt even feel the need to sleep anymore. |

Man, both the Sleep # and Temper-pedic stuff is so damn expensive. I see it this way....have you shopped for a mattress lately? "Good" mattresses are still over 1k. Don't get me going on those "sales" and "closeouts". Those mattresses last MAYBE a year, two if you are lucky before they sag and are garbage.
So, why not spend 2-3k and get something that should last you over 10 years...20 years, etc. At most I will have to replace the foam in 5-6 years in my Sleep Number. (Sleep Number as a whole will outlast tempur pedic - foam breaks down over time)
I always laughed at people that told me this, but it rings true in my heart and eyes, "I wish I would have bought one years ago".
You got a great body, but your record collection sucks.... BN 360 Scoreboard: http://www.mygamercard.net/clboard.php?id=GW57kfq7 This message was edited at Jul 23, 16:22. |

tried this once, but didn't show since I didn't have a user account yet appologies if it gets duplicated.
My wife has RLC, so we were both suffering with it (since I ended up being kicked), when she found out that it would stop if ate banana's and did a runner stretch before bed. Later, she replaced the banana's with V8 juice with extra potassium. In any case, it's a real pain to live with. Good luck to anyone out there trying to figure out how to deal with it!

My wife suffers from this (and, by extension, so do I since I'm next to her when it happens ). She's been able to keep it under control by eating at least a banana a day (is potassium deficency part of RLS?) and doing a runner stratch just before bet - that involving keeping your foot flat on the ground as you SLOWLY shift forward until your leg is at a 45 degree angle.

since we sometimes post deals here, I'll point out that (it looks like) all of Amazon's Gold Box deals are Blizzard products today...

I think RLS people, much like Jamiroquai, have canned heat in their heels at night, baby, woo hoo hoo. So before they go to bed they should dance...dance their blues away at night, baby!
I used to buy my faith in worship, But then my chance to Heaven slipped. I used to worry about the future But then I throw my caution to the wind. I had no reason to be care free No no no, until I took a trip to the other side of town Yeah yeah yeah, you know I heard that boogie rhythm Hey- I had no choice but to get down down down down.
Dance, nothing left for me to do but dance, Off these bad times I'm going through just dance Got canned heat in my heals tonight baby "He was one of a kind. He was a mutant. I can get cramp quite badly in my calf, the arch of my foot and under my chin - that's really painful and there's not much you can do to alleviate it.
I don't get it very often since I started taking a Zinc supplement, seemed to help with acne too.
