PC Guitar Hero III Patch

Aspyr Support now offers a new version 1.3 patch for the PC edition of Guitar Hero III. The update adds a "Front Row Cam" for low-end configurations, laptop-specific optimizations, Intel X3100 graphics support, a battery meter icon for supported laptops, and a wi-fi meter for supported laptops.

Can't remember where I read it, but the reason for no DLC on the PC was that it's easier to pirate the music on a PC than it is on an Xbox360...
Yeah...

A large part of the allure of Guitar Hero is playing the game with friends in the same room. Televisions are much more likely to be used for side by side multiplayer as computers are typically not as group oriented. The screens are usually smaller, they don't have couches for multiple people to sit at. It is just not a conducive environment to have a large following for a game such as this.
Not so much the case anymore.....can hookup most computers to mose newer big screen TVs (anything you woul dplay a 360 or PS3 on that is).

Oh well.

i love my PC version... still fun with friends since i have a big monitor, and online play is solid... but STILL no DLC. What's the deal Aspyr? can't be that hard for PC downloadable content. Way easier than the other systems. At least they are still patching it. *shrugs*

There are lots of custom songs out there. Go to the ScoreHero forums under Software. (You may have to register first.) Enjoy.

Rhythm-based party games don't really work on PC. Which is good because I don't like them.

It's all that piracy you know, that's why it didn't sell. The pirates are so inventive they've actually figured out how to pirate the guitar controllers too.

Let me guess the PC/Mac version of GH3 didn't sell well at all and we won't be seeing any future GH games for PC, right?

I actually thought modders might pick up on it and we'd see a ton of songs out there for it but I was wrong.
