I bet if I started playing now I'd drown in the 500,000 cards and 300 expansions. I don't think the game is even fun unless you're playing under some pretty strict rules as far as what sets/cards are allowed for a match. There's just too much out there now, and it just becomes an arms race to see who can spend more. Which happens to be the goal of these types of games, of course, but just doesn't make it fun except for those few people who have an unlimited amount of money to throw at the game.

I know this isn't what they are talking about, but it is kind of on subject. Did the Magic the Gathering Online card game ever get that massive overhaul version? I was waiting for it, but it got delayed about 20 times and I lost interest.
I played that game when it was brand new, quit around the time the Antiquities expansion came out. Wish I had kept all my alpha cards, the nox stones and lotus are selling for a ridiculous amount of money nowadays. I sold the power 9 set for 75 dollars in the late 90s, doh!
I bet if I started playing now I'd drown in the 500,000 cards and 300 expansions.

Sweet, if they put out another game like the one that micropose did back in the day I'd be all over it.
