Reakktor Media announces their plans for a Neocron 2 content update intended to bring the sci-fi MMORPG "back to its roots." Here's word:

After the successful release of Neocron Evolution 2.2, a new content package is currently under development. The motto for this update is “Back to the Roots” and it contains the relocation of Dome of York resident factions back to the city of Neocron. The relations between the factions will also be adjusted to create new exciting conflict potential for the players. Besides the adjustments of the game content, all happenings will be presented in form of in-game events and articles in the webzines Neocronicle and Voice of the Resistance.

	does anyone play this still? Did anyone ever play it? It was always more popular in Europe, mainly Germany. there were plenty of UK/US players for a couple years though. I won't apologize for playing it. It was the first MMOG that I ever got into. I had a helluva lot of fun despite its crappy visuals, large learning curve and lousy networking. If they're updating i imagine theres still people playing. the company is down to like two or three people maintaining the whole thing so it doesn't take a big population to keep them afloat. I'd love to see them sink some cash into a new renderer and visually update it along with physics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am a Blues Nazi.

	What happened to Neocon 1 was that the Bush administration.....Who knows. Neocon is just another word for "cold-war throwback," or better yet, just a plain and simple "reactionary".

	Erm I played it - please forgive me. I promise I won't do it again. BTW Surely moving half the factions back into the main city is just a way to compress the tiny populace so that you occasionaly see another person? For thoose to young to remember Neocron this is kinda like the mmo started with all the Horde and Alliance living in Ironforge. They expanded the game and created the seperate continents and are now looking at moving everybody back into Ironforge. Vegetarian Logic: We'll save animals by eating their food
