Confirmed No Unreal Tournament 2007 till 2007 on GameSpot announces first half of next year is the new release window for the next installment in Epic's shooter series. The announcement covers the PC edition of the game, while there is no set date for the PS3 edition at this time. They probe for hints that this might mean an Xbox 360 edition was in the offing, but were met with a vaguely encouraging sort of no comment.

	is this the version that makes it fun again, like UT? No kidding. The second they made UT into Quake (UT2k3) was the second they lost the franchise. Bring back proper UT. The Dude abides.

	Mark Rein's too busy fighting the evils of episodic gaming... No... He's too busy trying to make Intel come out with an integrated graphics solution that will run the Unreal 3 Engine.

	I'm looking forward to UT07, but I'm about a thousand times more excited about whatever Tripwire, (the Red Orchestra developers) can do with this engine.

	I was hopeful about UT2007 at first but the most recent videos I've seen of it show that they've lost the plot even further. The original UT was magic but each subsequent version has lot that bit by bit. The graphics don't even look that impressive anymore, easily dwarfed by the upcoming Crysis. 	Founder of the "I Hate Smiley Fitz, n00bdog and Twonky" society CPU upgrade? Check. Graphics upgrade? Not sure. I can wait for DX11 or grab a second 4870 now... or do both. Hmmm.

	They are holding the release so Vista could come out first. Then it will be an exclusive Vista game like Halo2 is. I certainly hope that isn't the case. I was so happy to see they weren't going to wait for the console versions to be ready for the PC version to be released but I guess that doesn't matter now. Well there goes the only big game I was waiting on for 2006..........

	Maybe me too, by then... Is anyone surprised that this happened? The plans for UT2k7 were maybe a bit too ambitous...or should I say, the plans for the engine and all the licencee help that EPIC has to be giving around now must be draining their manpower.
