Borderlands 2 Live-Action Trailer

Jack's Exodus website now offers a one-minute teaser trailer from an upcoming live-action Borderlands 2 movie featuring a (spoiler alert) respawned Handsome Jack, some psychos from the wasteland, and everyone's favorite manorexic assassin, Zer0. The clip has the following description: "Death is just the beginning of the misadventures of Pandora's greatest villain," and the website says the film itself will debut next week: "An exclusive screening of Jack's Exodus will be presented at the Games on Film Festival in Washington DC on Friday, January 3rd. If you would like to attend please register at www.gamesonfilm.com." There's more on what this is all about in their disclaimer:

Jack's Exodus is a non-profit film for private use only, and is not for sale or resale. At the moment, it is strictly for the promotional use of Manifest Film, Veritas Gold, and Machinima. It is in NO way endorsed by 2k, or Gearbox, or its affiliates, nor is it intended to undermine or compete with any existing or forthcoming material. Jack's Exodus is created for the purpose of demonstrating our capabilities to create and execute a story set within the world of Pandora and should not be sold, rented or used for anything of the sort. Manifest Film and Anthony Pietromonaco make no claim to any of the characters, locations, storyline, props, costume designs, logos, names or situations that are trademarked, copyrighted or otherwise protected by the federal, state, international or other intellectual property law. Out of the Blue

Happy Kwanzaa, happy second day of Christmas (better unwrap those turtle doves before they suffocate), happy Saint Stephen's day (shout out to all the Stephens out there), and happy Wren Day. Also, happy Boxing Day, a holiday I traditionally note in spite what's at best a sketchy understanding of what it's about. We've often celebrated the occasion here with a pudding of the figgy variety (like in the song), but the nearby store that carried them has closed, so we'll look for one today, but we may be out of luck there. Here's hoping things are going well for you, whether you're celebrating or not.
