Bethesda's thesurvivor2299 website continues to tease something, which may be Fallout 4, the RPG sequel that will definitely not be shown at Spike VGX (thanks Destructoid). The Official PlayStation Magazine points to the reddit decoding of the message from this Google Doc to tell us what the latest update says: "I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU, BUT I’M AFRAID THEY’RE DEAD. Ships Ahoy - Omerta: City of Gangsters: The Japanese Incentive

Kalypso Media announces the release of The Japanese Incentive, a new expansion that brings some yakuza umami to the organized crime of Omerta: City of Gangsters. This trailer shows off the add-on, and here's word:

Kalypso Media are thrilled to announce that ‘The Japanese Incentive’, the official expansion for the gangster themed strategy game Omerta – City of Gangsters, is now available to download via digital download for £14.99/€19.99/$19.99. ‘The Japanese Incentive’ will also be available on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in early 2014. In addition, a free update for Omerta – City of Gangsters is also available for players: adding improved AI, 5 new buildings and general gameplay fixes.

Kalypso Media has also released a new launch trailer highlighting some of the exciting new features ‘The Japanese Incentive’ has to offer. In the brand new campaign the player will come up against Irish mobsters, Ku-Klux-Klan racists, a mysterious business man from the far-east and a beautiful Japanese woman – it’s time for another episode in the life of The Boss!

‘The Japanese Incentive’ expansion offers budding mobsters a brand new and exciting single player campaign with new characters, storyline, weapons and cut scenes as well as unlocking new areas of Atlantic City, all ripe for the taking. There’s no time to let your guard down as there’s a new enemy AI gang in the city and they are looking to muscle in on your turf. It’s a story from a time when love was more important than keeping your cool, but sometimes losing your cool is the only way to get the job done.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Nears

Steam now offers a December 17th release date for the first episode in The Walking Dead: Season 2, so the zombie sequel will launch before Christmas, as promised. This leaves 11 days to get the game at its preorder discount of 20% off the full price. Thanks Eurogamer.

Star Lords Early Access

Steam news announces that Star Lords is now available under Valve's Early Access program:

Star Lords is an epic, complex, dense, turn-based 4X PC strategy game, set in deep space.

Take command of one race to join the struggle for supremacy in the galaxy. As the leader of your empire you are tasked with exploring the stars, colonizing new worlds, managing your empire and conquering whoever dares to oppose you.

The galaxy is full of secrets and dangers: Discover ancient ruins and artifacts, repel or befriend pirates, promote a general to guide your fleets to victory. Concoct complex plots with your allies or use your intelligence services to uncover weak spots on that threatening empire whose leader has vowed to destroy you.

Make sure to keep your population happy or be prepared to face protests against your rule, or in a worst case scenario, rebel factions within your empire.

Out of the Blue

Something I love: The time-saving macro functions of my Logitech G510 keyboard. Something I hate: Having to re-enter these macros for the second time in a couple of weeks. The first time was mostly my fault: I had two different profiles, and managed to over-write the useful one with what was essentially an empty one, which I'll partly blame on the software for making this too easy to do. Then yesterday I lost them all on a reboot, so I really don't know what happened, but it wasn't good. There's no function to explicitly "save" the macros, but there is a way to import and export them, so I guess I'll play with that to ensure I'm backed up.
